WATSON Project: Detecting and preventing fraud across the food chain | Resilience Guard
European research

WATSON: detecting and preventing fraud across the food chain.

Resilience Guard holds a funded, named role in the WATSON consortium under Horizon Europe, grant agreement 101084265, a 3 years project, starting 1 March 2023. Here is what the project does, what we contribute, and what it sharpens in the consulting our clients receive.

The project

What is WATSON?

WATSON tackles food fraud holistically, providing a methodological framework for the detection and prevention of fraudulent activities across the food chain, protecting the integrity of what Europe eats and the supply chains that deliver it.

Our role

What Resilience Guard contributes

The risk quantification engine. Resilience Guard's main task is developing the powerful engine that facilitates the quantification of risk throughout the entire WATSON ecosystem.
Fraud as a measurable exposure. Quantification turns fraud from an anecdote into an exposure that can be ranked, monitored and reduced.
Chain wide by design. The engine spans the chain, because fraud, like every supply chain risk, lives in the seams between actors.
From research to practice

Why this matters to our clients

WATSON is quantified supply chain risk in its purest form, and the engine building experience feeds the measurement discipline of our proprietary 7A Risk Management Framework.
