Advisory Board
Independent voices that challenge our thinking
Senior external figures in disaster risk and security hold our methods to account. Their independence is the point.
Independent challenge
An Advisory Board that keeps us honest
Our methods are tested by senior external figures in disaster risk and security. The Advisory Board exists to challenge our thinking, not to endorse it, and that independence is precisely its value.
Professor David Alexander
Chair of the Advisory Board
Professor of Risk and Disaster Reduction at University College London and one of the leading academic voices in disaster risk and emergency planning. He is the author of standard works in the field and Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction. As Chair, he brings decades of scholarship to bear on the rigour and independence of our work.
Doug Cook
Advisory Board member
MBE CSyP FSyI
A distinguished security professional with more than 35 years of experience across the military and business worlds, formerly International Security Vice President at Deutsche Telekom and founder of the Security Convergence and Resilience Alliance. He brings operational security depth and hard-won judgement to the board.
How the board works
Advice flows one way, accountability stays with us. The board advises, leadership decides, clients benefit.
Rigour you can rely on
Independent oversight is one reason clients trust our advice on their most serious exposures.
